Kahaani - Knitted With Knowledge

'Kahanni', the hindi word for 'Story' is a fully loaded entertainment film packed with no bollywood style songs nor amazing stunt sequences. Once in a while, the media industry encounters such beautiful story-driven movies which takes the audience in surprise and leaves them admiring it's characters, location and vibrant visuals. The Director Sujoy Ghosh have sculptured his characters without any flaws. To name a few, the intimate sequences between Vidya Venkatesan-Bagchi (Vidya Balan) and Inspector Rana (Parambrata Chatterjee) were depicted naturally. The Boss-Worker relationship between the Police Inspector and Rana receives accolades during the first interaction between him and Khan, the Intelligent Bureau Officer.

It all starts with Vidya, the pregnant woman who flies in to Kolkatta from London in search of her missing husband to unwrap a closely knitted story which unwinds in stages - gaining the concentration of the audience until the climax where things are revealed and justified for all the incidents that had occurred. The cinematographer Satyajit Pande - Setu had played with his gadgets to bring in more beauty and color to each and every frame shot in Kolkatta. This film - Kahaani would be the first ever movie to depict the indian intelligent officers at their best when compared amongst decade old films from bollywood. It is a great movie to watch, Worth a Watch :-)
