Flawless Ressurrection: The Dark Knight Rises

Once in a while, the movie goers will get to experience the power of a film by living as part of the story. Here, you will :-).. As the director (Christopher Nolan) had served "The Dark Knight Rises" to us with passion. In all means, it is an entertainment package.

As always, Christopher Nolan had established the Villain Bane (Tom Hardy) as a monster with amazing airborne stunt sequence in the opening seconds of the movie. In a time where people could easily relate to the effects of recession hit global economy, the situations through which Batman (Christian Bale) Bruce Wayne tries to resurrect himself was neatly woven with the Gotham Soceity and the reason for doing so was for his new interest in the Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) with interesting features. The Sarcastic dialogues from Lucius Fox (Morgan Freeman) and Alfred (Micheal Caine) towards Batman resonates and the witty responses was a feel good factor.Miranda (Marian Cotillard) and John Blake (Joseph Gordon) showcased a flawless performance.

Anyone could be a Hero, Batman is.
Worth a Watch :-)

Flying High - Eega - The HouseFly Movie

What one sees as an annoying and disgusting insect in our environment is made to be loved by the audience through the magical spell of S.S.Rajamouli, the director of the movie "I am Fly" (நான் ஈ - The tamil version of the movie). Like the life giving cracking sounds for a cracker, M.M.Keeravani - the music director had injected intuitive background score which propels the viewer's emotions to new heights. Amazing visual effects with flawless performance by Sudeep, Samantha and Nani justifies the rubber stamp font through which the director's name is printed on the promotional postures of the movie. One should watch the movie without missing a second, there are lot of things conveyed to the audience right from the title card of the movie. Let's see what makes it a lovable movie and thanks to the creator.

The story commences with the interaction between a cute little girl and her parents. The confidence of the director is seen from the first shot of the movie where Sudeep (the Kannada actor) shoots at the flying objects in style. Nani, the protagonist has done justice in chasing behind his dream girl - Bindu  (Samantha, the actress) and their chemistry had worked out well. Visuals speak more than the dialogues in the movie and it's a treat for everyone :-) . To give you.. the reader's... a wrapped worthy gift, Let me cut short the review without any spoilers... it's Worth a Watch :-) Don't Miss It.

Case No. 18/9 - A Case Study Movie

Do you want to educate a teenage girl with the prevailing social issues and make her identify various booby traps that she may encounter? Then, Case N0. 18/9 (வழக்கு எண் 18/9) is the apt movie to take her to. Set in the backdrop of the present day chennai metro city, the director Balaji Sakthivel is flawless in capturing the reality from a road side food stall to the apartment life style. Casting is never a question in the movies taken by this director. No one ever could question the acting skills of the actor Muthuraman - the Inspector, He qualifies to be recruited as a real inspector with his skills :-). With a completely new team of artists, musician and an experienced cinematographer Vijay Milton, Balaji Sakthivel has presented the story in a documentary style.

Velu - the newcomer Sri, a street side food bearer falls in love with a servant maid Jothi (Urmila Mahanta). Not much interactions are portrayed to carry forward a depth in their love life and there is a dream song which depicts their happy married life. The story moves with couple of social issue additions such as farm lands turning into housing projects, social inequality and abuse of disabled persons until the top cop Kumaravel (Muthuraman) picks up Velu to investigate the incident that had brought Jothi to the emergency Ward. The investigation unravels the various incidents that took place in their locality through 1. Velu's Point of View and 2. Dinesh's Point of View. Dinesh (Mithun Murali) and Aarthi (Manisha Yadav) are high school students residing at the same apartment and their tryst with modern day infactuation brings in a lovely educational material. And with no spoilers here, the movie is worth a watch as an educative documentary material.

Kahaani - Knitted With Knowledge

'Kahanni', the hindi word for 'Story' is a fully loaded entertainment film packed with no bollywood style songs nor amazing stunt sequences. Once in a while, the media industry encounters such beautiful story-driven movies which takes the audience in surprise and leaves them admiring it's characters, location and vibrant visuals. The Director Sujoy Ghosh have sculptured his characters without any flaws. To name a few, the intimate sequences between Vidya Venkatesan-Bagchi (Vidya Balan) and Inspector Rana (Parambrata Chatterjee) were depicted naturally. The Boss-Worker relationship between the Police Inspector and Rana receives accolades during the first interaction between him and Khan, the Intelligent Bureau Officer.

It all starts with Vidya, the pregnant woman who flies in to Kolkatta from London in search of her missing husband to unwrap a closely knitted story which unwinds in stages - gaining the concentration of the audience until the climax where things are revealed and justified for all the incidents that had occurred. The cinematographer Satyajit Pande - Setu had played with his gadgets to bring in more beauty and color to each and every frame shot in Kolkatta. This film - Kahaani would be the first ever movie to depict the indian intelligent officers at their best when compared amongst decade old films from bollywood. It is a great movie to watch, Worth a Watch :-)
