Shaitan - Seam of the Souls - Triumphant Thriller

It's about the evil within, untamed and untied trait of human nature brewing to confront with tamed traits.
The director Bijoy Nambhiar blends the conscious and unconscious motivation of the characters like a chef and has served it to the audience as a 5 star dish. Like the seam which traverses through facts and instincts of the soul, the screen play is strengthened by Megha Ramasamy.

The artistic opening bundled with uncertainty, aesthetic visuals, intriguing sound and perfect casting makes the viewers spellbound.
Amy, the cognitive deficient daughter of an influential public servant who hates her step mother is the hub and learns the meaning of modern day trust with her new found friend KC. Unable to identify Amy's phobia, the drugged KC introduces her to the spokes - Tanya, Zubin and Dash ; each one of them with a so called trendy nature. Unlike a tamed monkey, the actions of each of these spoke characters makes one wonder whether they had a good schooling or not. Drugs, Sex, fun and games are their only routine other than food. On the other hand, Mathur - a newly married honest police officer is challenged by his contempt wife and a divorce application. It is when the spokes (KC, Tanya, Zubin, Dash) and Amy wanted to coverup an incident, a stained cop demands a huge bribe triggering them to perform a childish play. Driven by uncontrollable events, the chase by the top cop Mathur reveals a string of mysteries and thereby revealing the unanswered. There are lot of strong implicit messages to the general public and the director has done it in his own style by not only words. Both the merits and demerits of the media are delicately portrayed and It is surely one of the contenders for the best hindi film 2011. It's worth a watch.
